It never ceases to amaze me that a band can play at the so-called prestige clubs and pubs in the cities and go down OK and then the next week play at a pub on the edge of the country and receive a welcome and support that city venues can only dream of.
This has certainly been our experience at the Duke. This was our second visit and there were a good few more folks here this time. Some familiar faces (and shirts) and some new friends (from Sheffield and Manchester) ensured a jolly evening was had by both band and guests.
The Duke seems to be one of those places we can't wait to get back to. Cheers.
